Our Motive

Understanding is when the external becomes internalized, so knowledge is essentially a transformation and expansion of oneself. Applying what we know in multiple, transferrable ways is the actualization of oneself. The real goal of education should be facilitating how each person processes what he/she is being taught, so they can then uniquely reapply it in productive and creative ways.

Addressing the needs of education could be the single most important determinant for positively changing the world. Dealing with all other concerns (e.g., health, social problems, optimal economic behavior, injustice, the pursuit of happiness, a properly functioning democracy, inequities, and more) hinges on awarenes derived from an effective educational system.

Study after study tells us that quality of life is greatly affected by one's level of education. Current research has also found that a sense of purpose, feeling that our potential is being recognized, and contributing to something greater than ourselves are the key factors for attaining happiness. Education could and should play a major role in those endeavors, so our children can enjoy fulfilling lives and reward us with a better world.
